Felt Ball Garland

The lovely Jordan Ferney of Oh Happy Day! made this cute garland out of felt balls. The color possibilities are endless. This is a fun and easy craft that anyone who can handle and needle and thread could do. It's great for Christmas or any occasion. Wouldn't those shiny felt balls add some sparkle to your tree?

The World is Listening

"I want to remind us all that the world is listening, all the time. How we are ripples out from us into the world and affects others. We have a responsibility - an ability to respond - to the world. Finding our particular way of living this responsibility, of offering who we are to the world, is why we are here. We are called because the world needs us to embody the meaning in our lives. God needs us awake. The world we live in is a co-creation, a manifestation of individual consciousness woven into a collective dream. How we are with each other as individuals, as groups, as nations and tribes, is what shapes that dream."

- Oriah Mountain Dreamer, author & poet.

Istanbul

Holly Becker, from the blog decor8, went on a wonderful holiday to Istanbul, Turkey. These are some of her photos that I found particularly fabulous. I LOVE all the color! The textiles remind me of the gorgeous bedding from Anthropologie that I love so much. I can honestly say I didn't put Istanbul high on my places-to-go list before, or on it at all actually, but now it's near the top!

Birthday Weekend in San Francisco

I had a great birthday this year in San Francisco with two of my best friends and my wonderful fiance. We spent Saturday in the city and Sunday exploring the nature north of the city and Saulsalito. It was fabulous. Thank you Spencer, Robin, and Ashley. I love you!

Monty

This is Monty. Last Friday we had to put him down due to a horrible cancer that was giving him a lot of pain. He was a very loving dog who loved to scratch his back on the grass and chase tennis balls in the orchard. We will miss him.

My Favorite Wreaths

These wreaths are FABULOUS! They are made by Emily Thompson, a florist based in Brooklyn, New York. I love the natural matierials and the soft gold ribbon. I want one!
